The Frederick St Medical Clinic is part of the Waterloo Region FHO, which offers after hours services to our patients.
In the event of an emergency, such as: chest pain: shortness of breath; severe abdominal pain; significant bleeding; stroke symptoms; or change in level of consciousness, please go to the nearest emergency department, or call 911.
After hours care is available by appointment only for patients of the Waterloo Region FHO. Call your doctor’s office for information on how to reach the office of the doctor on call. The on-call doctor’s office is available from 5 pm to 8 pm on weeknights and 12 pm to 3 pm on weekends and public holidays. Please call the on-call doctor’s office for an appointment during these hours.
After hours care is for the diagnosis and treatment of acute, urgent conditions, such as minor injuries and acute respiratory and urinary tract infections that cannot wait until your doctor is available. The on-call doctor does not renew prescriptions or prescribe narcotics.
